14 Count Aida 'Regatta Day OOAK' Hand Dyed Cross Stitch Fabric
14 Count Aida 'Regatta Day OOAK' Hand Dyed Cross Stitch Fabric
This OOAK (one of a kind and not repeatable) fabric colour is named after the Royal St John's, Newfoundland and Labrador Regatta. This is the oldest organized sporting even in North America and is a municipal holiday celebrated on August 1st, or the first fine day afterwards, in and around the city of St. John's starting in 1816 and has been termed "the largest garden party in the world" because the onshore activities have become just as important as the rowers on Quidi Vidi Lake.
This is a lovely deep blue with some speckling as shown in pictures. Speckling and mottling varies between each fabric piece so each piece is a one of a kind (OOAK). Each serged piece measures 13" X 18".
This 14 count Aida fabric is a joy to stitch on.
Hand dyed by Patty of Brin & Nedle here in Newfoundland and Labrador. The perfect, soft fabric for stitching in hand.
