Holidays 'Round The Bay' Floss - Newfie Slush

No Christmas is complete without a glass of slush....get yer slush bucket and lets get ready!....there are in fact regional slush recipes.  Did you know that?  I didn't know that.  Now we know that.  You're welcome.

Christmas Slush:

1 slush bucket (preferably a Chalkers salt beef bucket, preferably clean and dry)

1.5 cup sugar

7.5 cup water

1 can orange juice concentrate

1 can lemonade concentrate

1 can pineapple juice

26oz vodka* (or whatever you have left)

*you could make it without, but you may not be invited back

Now.  Boil your water and sugar.  Now.  Allow to cool.  Now.  Add the juices and vodka and stir well.  Now.  Time to freeze.  There are two methods of freezing 1. just chuck it in yer freezer and done.  Boring.  2. Dig a shallow hole in the snow on yer back deck.  Place slush bucket in said snow hole.  *This method comes in handy when you are shovelling and need a nip of slush - easy access!

Now.  To serve.  Fill yer glass with slush and top off with a can of drink.  This could be 7Up, Pineapple Crush, Ginger Ale, Club Soda.  You could also add some cool whip for a creamsicle version!
